Our Admissions Process

Thoroughly research our website with your family  including all tabs, links to podcasts and parent blog, videos, and FAQs.  It is very helpful to read the book Courage to Grow. We want to make sure you have a strong understanding of Acton's unique learner-driven model of education.

Attend an open house or schedule a tour. 

Open-houses and tours are a great opportunity to learn more about Acton Academy Santa Cruz and ask in depth questions to our team.

Submit a program application. 

We want to ensure that our unique program is a fit for your family, so we ask that you dedicate time and thought to the application process. 

Schedule a shadow day.

Have your child spend the day at Acton Academy to see what it's like in real time, and see if it is a good fit.

Participate in a Family Interview. 

After your child's shadow day we will conduct a final interview including both parents, if applicable, and each learner.
